This is in Maharashtra, India. This cave is a famous fort of Karjat located on a mountain in the Sahyadri mountain range.

The magnificent Chanderi mountain range, which rises to a spreading height of around 800m, is situated between Badlapur and Karjat. This journey is a great journey to explore the wonders of nature.  In short, it's like going by the waterfall.  So this is the place that hikers love so much.  A lot of people camp here and you have to be careful about the wages.  To get here you have to go through one of the two villages Thamsai (panvel) or chincholi (vangani, badlapur).

History

Although the history of this fort is not widely known, it deserves to be mentioned as the crowning achievement of Raigad district's forts. Fort ruins may be seen next to the caverns. Most likely, this is the sole characteristic that qualifies Chanderi as a fort. When the Marathas took over Kalyan-Bhivandi-Rairi fort in 1656, Shivaji Maharaj conquered the whole region up to that point. Because there aren't many places to store water, this is probably more of a military installation than a fort.
